While I was playing Helldivers 2 with my good friend Roel Zerner from Beat the Trail, I discovered that I was playing like a real n00b, especially because I didn’t have the controls down. I play on mouse & keyboard, and you can really tell that Helldivers 2 is designed for a controller.
Because I play with a mouse and keyboard, not everything was in places that were logical to me, which made playing well quite a challenge. The many options and menus are everywhere in places that are logical for a controller. But completely illogical on M&K, which makes functioning well in stressful situations more difficult.
After a fruitless search on Google for a keyboard and mouse control scheme for Helldivers 2, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a scheme myself.
Because I have a controller lying around for my PC. And of course, I can change the keyboard layout. But that’s not a challenge. I decided to carry out a labor-intensive solution.
